§ 00Terms
Terms and Conditions
Draft: to be reviewed by a lawyer before launch.
Last updated: 12 October 2026
These terms explain what to expect when you join the waitlist for Code Aakar or take part in an event. They apply to students, parents, schools and other participants.
1. Eligibility
Code Aakar events are for students in Class 6 to 12. For anyone under 18, the parent or guardian must approve the details before we keep them. We may also ask for school or college information to match the right event or cohort.
2. What the waitlist means
Joining the waitlist does not guarantee a place in a hackathon or event. It keeps your details on record so we can contact you when registrations open for a suitable programme. We may also contact you about updates, reminders or relevant opportunities.
3. Prizes and recognition
Prizes, if any, are announced per event once confirmed.
4. Ownership of student projects
Students (with parent permission) keep ownership of their projects. By submitting to a Code Aakar event, they allow Code Aakar to showcase the project with credit.
5. Code of conduct
All participants must follow the code of conduct for the event and behave respectfully. We expect students, parents and adults to act safely, fairly and kindly. We also expect everyone to respect privacy, school rules and the rights of other participants. Please see the Child Safety page for the full guidance.
6. Changes and cancellations
Code Aakar may change dates, timings, venue, format or event details based on practical needs, safety, or participant numbers. If an event is cancelled or postponed, the organiser may contact participants and provide the next available plan. We may also update the waitlist or event page without prior notice.
7. Limitation of liability
Code Aakar is an independent initiative and we try to run events carefully. We are not responsible for losses, damages or disappointment caused by changes, cancellations, delays, technical issues, or external factors outside our control. This includes issues outside our direct control, such as venue or travel problems, internet disruption or force majeure events.
8. Governing law
Courts at Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, India.
9. Contact
For questions about these terms, or about a waitlist or event, contact Darpan Varshney at varshneydarpan128@gmail.com. We will answer as quickly as we can and try to resolve any concerns clearly.
