§ 00Child Safety

Child Safety Policy

Draft: to be reviewed by a lawyer before launch.

Last updated: 12 October 2026

Code Aakar wants every event to feel safe, respectful and welcoming. We are especially careful when students are younger and when parents are trusting us with their children.

1. Code of conduct

Participants must be respectful, kind and safe. We expect everyone to avoid bullying, threatening language, sexual comments or anything that makes another person feel unsafe. Students should not share personal contact information with adults for private conversation, and adults should not ask for it.

2. We contact the parent and not the child

For students under 18, we contact the parent or guardian first. We do not contact the child privately for sensitive issues or for operational issues that should be handled by the parent. This helps make sure adults are clear, accountable and appropriate.

3. No private one-to-one contact

We do not allow private one-to-one contact between adults and children for event communication, project discussions or scheduling unless it is clearly necessary and the parent or guardian has been informed. If a parent or guardian wants to contact us, they should do so using the regular contact channels and we will reply in a safe and appropriate way.

4. How reports are handled

If a participant, parent, teacher or organiser has a concern about behaviour, privacy, safety or an inappropriate interaction, they should email varshneydarpan128@gmail.com. We will review the matter, contact the relevant parent or guardian where needed, and take the next step in a careful and fair way.

5. What happens if rules are broken

If the safety rules are broken, we may ask a participant to stop attending a session, remove them from an event, or take other action needed to protect the safety and wellbeing of students. We may also contact the parent or guardian and, where necessary, involve the relevant authorities.

6. Respect and supervision

Students should take part with respect for staff, mentors, parents and peers. Adults working with the event should act in a professional way, avoid unnecessary personal contact, and keep all communication age-appropriate and transparent.
